About Dr. Rizzo

Dr Daniel Rizzo was born in San Diego, California. He is a local McKinney resident who lives on a five-acre homestead with his wife, Morgan and their eight children. Dr. Dan enjoys spending time with his family, enjoys tending to their farm, and likes to both watch and play baseball with his children.

Dr Rizzo attended his undergraduate training at the University of San Diego. He went on to attend medical school at Midwestern University in Phoenix, Arizona. After that, he completed a general surgery residency at a level one trauma hospital in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Rizzo served in the US Navy reserves for three years and active duty for four years. He was stationed at Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia, where he assisted with a general surgery residency program.

Dr Rizzo, During his undergraduate training and throughout medical school, trained under a holistic-minded functional medicine family practice doctor, who left a lasting impression upon his medical journey. Dr Rizzo spent ten years in the operating room, trying to help patients with late-stage illnesses that required medical intervention. This year, Dr Rizzo and his wife began to prayerfully consider a return to the roots of his training – through a natural-minded, holistic approach to patient care.

About Dr. Chartrand

Dr. Chartrand was born and raised in Saint Louis, Missouri. He graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2002. He attended the University of Texas Southwestern Family Medicine residency program and trained at Parkland Hospital, Saint Paul University Hospital, and Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.

For five years Dr. Chartrand worked as an emergency room physician. He has worked in many Texas emergency rooms including the hospitals in Graham, Glen Rose, and Wichita Falls. In 2007, he opened this private practice. Dr. Chartrand currently lives in McKinney with his wife Lori and their seven children. He enjoys gardening, woodworking, RVing, and Bible study.

Dr. Chartrand’s 1969 Cadillac ambulance is a fan favorite in many of the local parades. Our ambulance took first prize in the Allen Christmas Parade with the theme “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer… So She Called Dr. Chartrand in Downtown McKinney.”
